John DiGrazia is a Los Angeles-based photographer who captures images with tone and emotion, densely packed with dimly visible shafts of light. His artful eye is tuned in to saturated morphing shapes of people, light, time and space.

John DiGrazia was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Since the age of 27 he’s been living in Los Angeles, California but grew up in a small Texas border town near Mexico. In school, he studied psychology and art.

John Szarkowski said of Garry Winogrand that “his ambition was not to make good pictures, but through photography to know life”. Such a sentiment captures John's photographic aspirations as well.
